IF YOU WANT TO FLASH YOUR XPERIA PRO (or UPGRADE) OR ROOT YOUR XPERIA PRO, ITS A VERY NICE STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO DO THAT.
NO NEED TO BE A COMPUTER EXPERT TO DO IT.
BUT YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE STEPS VERY CAREFULLY.
BACKUP YOUR PHONE DATA INTO A SAFE PLACE BECAUSE ALL THE DATA WILL BE GONE BY THE FINISHING TIME (YOU CAN BACKUP YOUR CONTACTS,PICTURES ETC TO THE MEMORY CARD AND COPY IT TO YOUR COMPUTER)
If you want to upgrade your xperia or downgrade, you may also can follow this.Rooting your phone allows you to customize your phone storage or built in applications and many more features that is not applicable to a unrooted phone.
YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE FILES BELOW FROM THE EMBEDDED LINKS OR SEARCHING IN THE GOOGLE.
1. XPERIA PRO KERNEL for ICS (MK16i_4.1.B.0.587_Central_Europe.ftf)
2. (DooMLoRD_v1_Xperia-2011-ICS-ROOT-emu-busybox-su.zip) download link (download by clicking file>download on the upper left corner)
3. (MT11i_4.1.A.0.562_kernel.ftf) download link
4. flash drivers (donload links : one & two ) (download by clicking file>download on the upper left corner)
5. flashtools.exe for windows
6. flashtool drivers ( download link )
AFTER YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED ALL YOUR FILES, SETUP THE FILES FOLLOWING THE STEPS
1. Install flashtool.exe in the C: drive's root folder
2.unzip the files of doomlord into a folder in the C: drive
3.copy the two kernels to the folder C:\Flashtool\firmwares\
4. its an important step.
install the flashtool drivers.
if you see your xperia driver installation failed just as below , check it if its really failed or not.
switch off your phone.
open flashtool and connect your phone holding the back button.
if you see this kind of lines (red ones) in the flashtool window,you have to install the drivers.
if you see 'device connected in flash mood' then you can skip the rest of this step 4 and go to next steps.
unzip the files in the flash drivers (you downloaded in download list 4) in different folders in a same parent folder(such as,parent folder: USBFlash_driver and child folder : folder1,folder2)
go to 'device manager' and find your phone ,it should be with a yellow mark.
right click on the device and select update driver>browse for driver software on your computer>> then select your parent folder that you created.
now it should be installed your drivers.
you can check again in flashtool.
1. open flashtool , click on the flash icon and choose flashmode
2.select your xperia pro ICS firmware (carefully!) select every kind of wipe and don't select any kind of exclude and also select no final verifications, don't select reset customizations (it means you are flashing your phone fully)
3. click flash and connect your phone as it is shown.
4.wait for the data to be flashed and shown 'flashing finished
5. unplug and turn on your phone .
hopefully it may take a longer time. how does it look in ICS??
and settings >developer options>usb debugging>checked
THIS TWO MUST BE SELECTED TO ROOT YOUR PHONE.
START OF ROOTING PROCESS
7. open flashtool again and select flash>flashmode>
8. select MT11i_4.1.A.0.562_kernel this time (carefully!)...
9.you have nothing to wipe or nothing to exclude, just click flash and connect your device as before.
10.wait for the flashing to be finished. disconnect your device. close flashtool.
DON'T WORRY ..THIS TIME YOUR PHONE MIGHT NOT BE TURNED ON AND IT MAY BE BECOME BLANK SCREEN. THIS IS BECAUSE OF KERNEL MISMATCH. WHEN YOU WILL FLASH YOUR ORIGINAL KERNEL AGAIN, IT WILL TURN ON NORMALLY
11. connect your device (switched of) this time normally. don't press any key.
12.go to the folder in C: drive where you unzipped the doomlord's folders. run the file 'runme.bat'.
13.press any key in the keyboard in the command window and wait for ''ALL DONE!'' if it takes more than 10 minutes and shows no finishing, then close the command window,disconnect your phone ,disconnect the battery and connect and connect the phone again and run the file 'runme.bat'.
when you see 'ALL DONE!!!', disconnect your phone and close the command window.
14.you have to now flash your original kernel. open flash tool and click flashmode.don't click flash
15.please don't select any options in wipe and select all the options in exclude. only don't select the option 'exclude kernel' . its because you only want to flash your kernel, nothing else. now flash it.
16.wait for the 'flashing finished'.
disconnect your phone
turn on the phone.
if you want to check it ... open flashtool and connect your phone in flashmode. you will see something like this...don't click flash

5. unplug and turn on your phone .

BY THIS TIME YOUR PHONE IS UPGRADED TO ICS AND IF YOU DON'T WANT TO ROOT YOUR PHONE , ITS DONE HERE!! GOODLUCK!
6. go to settings>security>unknown sources>checkedand settings >developer options>usb debugging>checked
THIS TWO MUST BE SELECTED TO ROOT YOUR PHONE.

NOW YOU HAVE YOUR PHONE ROOTED !!! ENJOY!
